Both Simon and I get quite emotional when we think about how amazing you and the team were on and before our surprise wedding.

You were all incredible and were all pivotal in making the day the happiest of our lives! Truly amazing!

There were no hiccups or problems, and you managed all the stress away from us.

There was such a loving happy vibe in your venue, and you all nurtured this - it felt really tangible.

Please pass on our heartfelt appreciation to the bar staff and manager they were just fantastic - everyone said how awesome everyone at the venue was.

“ Hi Rebecca,

I just wanted to message to say a big THANK YOU to you and the team for Saturdays barn dance.

An extra big shout out to Laura for being absolutely AMAZING all day long. Not only was she lovely, making us completely at ease, but she was also an event management dream.  Nothing was too big of a challenge for her or the team - even a last-minute change of the schedule bringing people across to the main hall, didn’t faze her at all.

She was so supportive and honestly was the star of the day for us. The other staff on the day were incredible too, so positive and helpful at every point. The bar staff were friendly, helpful and super accommodating! I could go on and on - they were all so so good to us.

Thank you so much for helping in the run up to the day. We honestly couldn’t have made such a day happen, without you and all of your lovely team.

The history and character of The Old Library will be sure to immediately impress your guests. Originally built in 1866, the building opened as one of Birmingham’s 5 free libraries and is now the only one still standing. Our iconic Victorian windows and grand arch ways speak for themselves, making the setting romantic and creating a church-like atmosphere.

When you hire The Old Library for your wedding, it is a completely exclusive hire (including the bar!). Our friendly events team will be completely focused on you and making sure your day runs as smoothly as possible. We are also fully accessible and 100% pet friendly – we love it when your furry friends are a part of your special day!

For your drink’s reception, you will be directed just across the road to the Zellig building where you will find The Nomad. A space full of quirky art work and décor, where you and your guests will be able to enjoy canapes and drinks whilst our dedicated events team turn your ceremony set-up into your reception set-up. Our central location also means we are very close to a range of hotels to suit any budget and all of Birmingham’s major transport links. Your guests could even make a weekend of exploring Digbeth!
